My Apostrophe

I searched throughout the graveyard
found nobody there
just another firm remind
of the fate that we all share.

The race of living and dying
has long been lost to me.
To set out on a journey,
to watch your old life slip away.

I ravaged hill-side villages,
all their faces looked the same;
though their eyes were looking outward
they were content to play the game.

It takes a different kind of eye to see,
we're all inside a cage,
Humanities greatest feats,
are the lies we all believe.

I hear the hollow echo;
the dark shadow of a man,
whose life was lived for sin.

As the sun sets on the journey,

The voice is not the message,
